Church building with a mix of neo-roman and neon-Byzantine styles, designed by Jacques van Gils (1865-1919). Built in 1908-1910 as a parish church, named after the Martyrsof Gorkum. These were nineteen Franciscan monks from Gorkum who were murdered in 1572 near Den Briel. The building has a cross-shaped ground plan with a large central space under a brick domed vault, resting on four columns and grand arches. Adjoining aisles with wooden vaults. Inside you will find ceramics made by the Porceleyne Fles and decorative paintings. Merged with the Pastoor van Ars parish, the church of which was closed afterwards.
