Built in 1905, designed by Bastiaan Schelling and Karel Muller for two companies: Royal Dutch Yeast- and Spirits Factory and the Dutch Oil Factory (later Calvé Delft). The middle section raises associations with a historical city gate, because of the two towers and the round arch entrance portal. Beautiful interior: extreme high hall surrounded by galleries and a vaulted glass canopy. Floor with geometric tile patterns, a large stained-glass window in the stairwell, original lighting fixtures and various tile tableaux from Royal Delft.
