The original stepped gable, built around 1538, was replaced by a cornice in mid-19th century. Inside, the old structure has been preserved. The beamed ceiling is decorated with late Gothic and Renaissance consoles. Historic details in abundance. Behind the counter, under the ceiling, a small vault supports a fire place on first floor. Rear part of the building, containing a lovely chimney, was added in 18th century. Property has been used as traditional Dutch pub since 17th century. It is therefore the oldest pub in Delft.
