This second-oldest church in Delft was built in phases (1383-1510). The current spire (1875) was designed by Professor of Architecture Eugen Gugel. The tower, with a height of 109 metres, had to surpass Utrecht Dom Tower. A monumental tomb (1614-1622) of William of Orange by Hendrick de Keyser. Royal crypt (not accessible). Monument commemorating Hugo de Groot († 1645) in ambulatory. The organ by Johann Bätz & Co dates from 1837-1840. Stained glass windows dating from 1927-1936 and one from 2006 in the west wall.

Due to church services, the Nieuwe Kerk is not open to visitors of Open Monument Day Delft on Sundays.

Climbing the tower is possible for the usual prices.
