Former school building Rietveld 49, standing in a courtyard between Vlamingstraat and Rietveld. This municipal public school began in the early nineteenth century in a former inn on the site of Vlamingstraat 22. Behind it, around 1900, a new, much larger school building was built while a teacher's residence was built on the site of the inn. School and home were designed by municipal architect Hartman. From Vlamingstraat, the school is hidden from view by the teacher's house, but from Rietveld it is clearly visible, with the front facade located on the square-shaped inlet to it. This courtyard now no longer has its own street name, but is still known by its former name Faliebagijnhof. The school building has been in use as a theater since 1978, with the name "Falie Begijnhof Theater.
