In the 17th-century, Delft held several weapons depots for the States of Holland and West Frisia. This impressive armamentarium (1601-1602) was one of the largest. In 1691-1692, the complex was expanded, as evidenced in stone reliefs on the facade at Oude Delft. Upon dissolution of the VOC in 1802, the East India warehouse was added. The armamentarium lost its function around 1900. Site housed the Dutch Army Museum from 1986-2013. Following a sustainable renovation, the complex is now in use as a hotel, conference centre and restaurant.
