The church building, constructed between 1938 and 1939, was designed by H. Thunnissen in a modest traditionalist architectural style. Its exterior walls are built in exposed brickwork, with certain elements made from artificial stone resembling natural stone, and some decorative brick mosaics. The 25-metre-high tower features an octagonal brick spire. The interior remains largely in its original state. The oldest item inside is an 18th-century marble statue of the Assumption of Mary, which originated in Italy.
